Things I've Learned About Myself As a Writer

This year I've improved as a writer a good bit, at least in my opinion. I have learned that I need a solid outline to write thorough, enjoyable things. When I am writing without an outline, all of my thoughts come to me at once, or at least not in a logical order. However, if I write an outline beforehand then I have the chance to arrange my thoughts. An improvement that I have made is the correct use of commas. I did not use them often enough in the beginning of the year, but now I feel as if I have a better grasp on how to use them. I also have learned to make my writing more concise and have less run-on sentences. Overall, I feel as if I have grown as a writer in that I have improved or matured the skills that I already had.
